IT'S BEGINNING TO STINK OVER THERE.

You can be in our gang if you are good Europeans, agreeing with everything we say. Don't however do everything that we do, such as support each other in our domestic elections, as this might well be deemed undemocratic to the more mature nations of Europe.

The morphing of Anglas Merkozy has now hit the hustings in France, electioneering for the approaching Presidential Elections. This could, on the one hand, find support in the transvestite community; somehow, that is unlikely to sway the nation. We, in Britain, really have to put our heads above the parapet, admonishing such practices, pretending, like the 'Three Musketeers', that we are 'all for one and one for all', a kind of palindrome. This is probably the way that the Franco-German leadership sees as the future for Europe; we are the same from whatever angle we are viewed. This would fall into a kind of 'smoke and mirrors' category.

As with the theme in our sister blog, accessible via http://polly-tickle.blogspot.com, you will note that all politicians practice sleight of hand wheezes, with the pretence of doing us good. Europe, of course, is different, insomuch that we don't get a vote to remove the Brussels' law makers, and Merkozy would like this status quo to remain in situ. Not that a change of parties in France would alter that either; in fact we would be on the receiving end of a more condensed Marxism.

In reality, we would probably prefer far less politics, with a ban on electioneering, and contestants standing alone on their records.

BUT THE MELODY LINGERS ON.
