A Brussels insider has been forthcoming with information that won't surprise the European tax payer; at the recent summit regarding the proposed budget increase, where British Prime Minister David Cameron made a stand against the profligate Brussels Administration, and was backed by other nations. The European Commission simply ignores what is going on in its member states regarding much streamlining of domestic overheads. This is not important to the net recipients/beneficiaries within the Union, they naturally far outnumber the contributors. It is becoming apparent that more of the latter are beginning to understand that invisible money is not an option. Being responsible has to be the priority.
What we do need to be flabbergasted about, however, was that outside the proceedings, hundreds of flag waving protesters were demonstrating, with an anti-British bias, in favour of the increases. So who were these people? They were EU officials, given paid leave for the day, with free transport, giving the impression that the poor tax payer is in agreement with everything that is decided by the Commission.
