Greek Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras (Brussels placement), is currently playing musical chairs, initially in Berlin to plead with Angela Merkel, and then onto Paris. The intention is to extend the period of compliance to the European Union's requirements before Greece can get additional financial assistance. Presumably a compromise will be found, giving the impression that they will be able to pay off these loans. Some hope!
The absurd aspect of all this nonsense is that Samaras then goes to Paris to see President Francois Hollande. France's financial situation, although not as dire as their Greek colleagues, is not far behind the troublesome economies of both Spain and Italy. We could enquire what is going on, but it is, as ever, Brussels 'bodging up' that is causing economic melt down in the west, with a knock-on effect around the world. It is understood that Barack Obama is fearful of Greece opting out of the euro, with all the implications that would ensue, something that could go against him in the forthcoming Presidential Election.
THERE'S NO RESPONSIBILITY HERE THEN.
