BARROSO AND A FORCED MARRIAGE.

We can't be surprised when a communist, Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Union, wants an acceleration towards federalisation of the member states, in an endeavour to avoid the total collapse of the European project. He insists that this will bring about greater democracy providing that we do as he says.

Democracy, as we are aware, is way down the list of priorities of the unelected 'high and mighty' that dominate the corridors of Brussels. The author is sure that democracy should be to ask the electorate what their feelings are on such matters. It might also be reasonable to point out, that forced/arranged marriages are against the law in civilised countries. The superior attitude that dominates the European Commission prevents such an imposition to get in the way of their perceived progress.

The disturbing aspect of  these political manoeuvres is that they all cost money, tax payers money, some of course, more than others. The big flaw in this European folly is, and has always been the case, that most of the participating nations receive money, whereas Great Britain and a few others are obliged to contribute annual funds. Such accounting systems are always at the centre of Socialism; robbing Peter to pay Paul, naturally there are many more Pauls than Peters. The Pauls, the ones on the 'take', based upon the one-man one vote system, will always outnumber the responsible providers; therefore the whole 'house of cards' disintegrates.

THERE APPEARS TO BE NO END IN SIGHT FROM THIS SELF IMPOSED MISERY.
